Just Be

May 23, 2020 Jennifer Rivera LCSW
Just Be

Every day we receive gentle nudges and reminders that if we aren’t paying attention we just might miss. Today I had a few reminders to slow down and just be. The first reminder was a message from a friend that she was giving herself permission to rest and also express how she is really feeling!

The second reminder came from a very intimidating visit to the pediatrician.

These nudges were the reminders that I needed to slow down and just be this afternoon.

There is a constant pull in many directions all at the same time all day long that can be incredibly draining.

There is a constant need to hide our emotions from our children, our coworkers, our community.

But sometimes we need to just let everything go and just be.

Just be in the moment.

Just be still.

Just be in our sweatpants laying on the couch.

Just be close to the people that we love.

Just be ourselves whatever that looks like right here right now.

So take some time and just let yourself be however feels best to you right now.

If you need support during this time I am now offering coaching for women who work in helping professions!
